NotaryPro Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information. 3. Identity Verification Data
Because NotaryPro Academy provides state-regulated notary education, we are required to verify the identity of each student before issuing a Certificate of Completion. To do this, we collect a copy or image of a government-issued photo ID.
- Retention: Identity verification documents are retained for a minimum of 4 years from the date of certificate issuance to support potential California Secretary of State audit requests. After this period, they are securely deleted.
- Storage: Identity documents are stored in encrypted form on our course platform servers.
- Access: Access is limited to authorized NotaryPro Academy staff with a need-to-know, and to the California Secretary of State if required by law.
- We do not sell or share identity documents with any third party for any commercial purpose.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Payment processor (e.g., Stripe or similar)
- Processing course purchases
- Learning Management System (TutorLMS / WordPress platform)
- Hosting and delivering course content
