6 Hour Course

This 6-hour California Notary Public Course provides all the required education needed to apply for your notary commission. Designed for first-time applicants or those whose commission has lapsed, this training covers the laws, procedures, and responsibilities established by the California Secretary of State.

Students will learn how to properly perform notarial acts, verify a signer’s identity, maintain compliant records, respond to investigations, and avoid the most common mistakes that lead to fines or discipline. Upon completing all lessons, satisfying the required instructional hours, and verifying your identity, you will receive a Certificate of Completion valid for use with your California notary application for two years.
