NotaryPro Academy

Who We Are

NotaryPro Academy is a California-based online education provider specializing in mandatory notary public education for California applicants and renewal candidates. We offer on-demand video courses designed to fulfill the education requirements established by the California Secretary of State under California Government Code § 8201 and § 8201.2.

NotaryPro Academy was founded in 2026 by Davina Tate with a mission to provide high-quality, compliant California notary education that empowers students to achieve their professional goals. The academy combines practical instruction with state-required curriculum to help students navigate the commissioning process with confidence.

Our mission is simple: give every California notary applicant and renewing notary a clear, accurate, and accessible path to their Certificate of Completion — no unnecessary complexity, no classroom travel, and no guesswork about what the state requires.

Our Courses

We offer two state-aligned notary education courses:

6-Hour Notary Public Education Course Required for first-time California notary applicants and those reapplying after commission expiration. Covers all foundational notary law, procedures, and responsibilities under California Government Code § 8201.

3-Hour Notary Public Renewal Course Required for California notaries renewing their commission before expiration. Covers updated statutory requirements, current procedures, and renewal process guidance under California Government Code § 8201.2.

Both courses are delivered entirely online, on demand, and include automatic time tracking to verify that the minimum required instructional hours are completed before a Certificate of Completion is issued.

Our Commitment to Compliance

California’s notary education vendor standards are set by the California Secretary of State and governed by 2 California Code of Regulations § 20800 et seq. NotaryPro Academy takes these standards seriously.

Our courses are based on the California Notary Public Handbook (2024 edition) and current California law. Our lesson plan has been submitted to the California Secretary of State for review and approval in accordance with 2 CCR § 20800.1.
